Job Description

Events Representative

Baton Rouge, LA | Full-Time | In-Person

Love working with people? Take your skills beyond the typical event role

If you enjoy busy environments, meeting new people, and being part of something meaningful, this could be the opportunity you're looking for.

Selador International is looking for an Events Representative to support community events and public engagement campaigns throughout Baton Rouge.

Rather than spending your day behind a desk, you'll be out in the community representing charitable initiatives, connecting with people face-to-face, and helping create positive experiences that inspire others to get involved.

Every event is different, giving you the chance to develop confidence, communication skills, and practical experience while working alongside a supportive and energetic team.

No previous events experience is required. Full training is provided.

What You'll Be Doing

No two days are exactly the same.

One day you could be attending a busy community event, while the next you're representing a campaign in a high-footfall public location. Wherever you are, your role is to create engaging conversations, answer questions, and help people understand the positive impact they can make by supporting worthwhile causes.

You'll become the friendly face of the campaign, creating welcoming interactions that encourage people to learn more while developing valuable communication and public engagement skills of your own.

Throughout the role, you'll work closely with experienced colleagues, receive ongoing coaching, and gain first-hand experience of how successful community outreach campaigns are delivered.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Representing charitable campaigns at community events and public venues

• Creating welcoming conversations with members of the public

• Sharing information about community initiatives in a friendly and engaging way

• Helping maintain professional event presentation and campaign standards

• Supporting event logistics and day-to-day campaign activities

• Working alongside your team to create positive experiences at every event

• Participating in ongoing coaching and professional development

What You'll Gain

• Practical experience working at live community events

• Confidence communicating with a wide variety of people

• Professional development in communication and public engagement

• Ongoing coaching and mentorship

• Transferable skills that can support future career opportunities

• Experience working in a collaborative, people-focused environment

Who This Role May Suit

This opportunity may be a great fit for:

• Someone who enjoys being around people and working in lively environments

• A hospitality or events professional looking for a role with more variety and development

• Someone who enjoys creating positive experiences through great communication

• An individual interested in community engagement and face-to-face interaction

• Someone looking to build confidence, gain practical experience, and develop transferable skills

Why Join Selador International

Selador International believes meaningful conversations begin with meaningful experiences.

You'll join a supportive team where training, collaboration, and personal development are part of everyday life. Whether you're building confidence, expanding your communication skills, or looking for experience in customer-facing environments, you'll have the opportunity to learn while making a positive impact within the community.
